NEW YORK CITY — Jewelers of America (JA) has awarded Margaret Kathryn Mersky of Margie Mersky Custom Designs in St. Louis Park, MN the JA Certified Sales Professional (CSP) designation — the first level of the JA Sales Professional Certification program.

The Sales Professional Certification Program sets uniform standards for testing a professional jewelry sales associate's abilities. The program evaluates the facts, processes, procedures, terms and concepts that jewelry sales associates encounter in their daily work, and to be certified, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in each skill to an acceptable national standard.
